" WISDOM, WHERE CAN I GET SOME? "
Albus Potter spent most of his very young childhood willfully oblivious to the fame that his father's name holds. His parents did their best to shield their children from it, and because of this he grew up well-adjusted, if nervous about his own standing in the outside world. He knew the stories about what had happened in the war, but only what people were willing to tell him. There were a lot of things that were kept from the Potter children, if only because it was things they shouldn't know until later on.

By the time he was meant to go to Hogwarts, Albus was so worried about being in Slytherin that he was almost in a panic about it, trying to beg his father for assurances. He got them, but in the form of Harry telling him that Slytherin would be just fine if that was where he ended up. It struck such a chord with him that he had to think about it on the train - and the reality was that as soon as people saw him, they started treating him differently than he'd ever experienced. Despite idolizing his father growing up, the fact that everyone he saw was treating him like an extension of him was alarming and upsetting. There were older Gryffindor students that were treating him like he was already a part of their house, and some Slytherins - children of known Death Eater families - looked as though they were trying to burn holes through him with their eyes.

The sorting was harrowing, but in the end Albus was sorted into Slytherin purely out of spite, which the hat seemed to think was in turns hilarious and admirable.

School wasn't that huge of a deal for Albus but it was still a trial at times. He did his best to pretend he could ignore the people that pretended like they knew him. Some of his fellow Slytherins took it upon themselves to bully him but most of them accepted him, smug to have a Potter in their midst. The moments of duress shoved the quiet and the anxiety out of him early, and by the time he was thirteen he was sharp around the edges, friendly to most people but bitter and sharp where warranted. He became a fierce protector of those he cared for, and eventually people started to get the hint.

He befriended Scorpius over one Christmas break while they were still young, third years, and quickly urged himself into the other boy's life as much as he could, standing up for him and even going so far as to get in (more than) a couple of fights in his honor. There came a point where it was deemed he needed to work out his aggression productively and his mother suggested Quidditch. It was a good call, and even now everyone expected him to be a seeker like his father, but Albus could sense this and made the easy decision to train to be a beater. He took to the position like a fish to water and it helped him to control himself, to get into less trouble.

Overall at Hogwarts he was aces at flying, charms, defense against the dark arts, and care of magical creatures. Thanks to Professor Longbottom he was all right at herbology, but he was complete rubbish at potions across the board. He managed to pass every time though, sometimes with a little assistance. Albus started to date in fifth year but he stuck to girls, a little unsure of himself otherwise in a world that still hadn't caught on to any other options being normal. It caused some friction between himself and his best friend, mostly because of the fact that despite doing his best, Albus still had the uncanny ability to be completely oblivious to small signs and nuances, changes in mood.

By the time seventh year came around he could tell even more obviously that something was up and because of this he confronted his friend - but it didn't end as he'd expected, the blowup as far as he understood it being because it was taking up too much of him, would draw him away if he got too serious. It just made him feel guilty for making Scorpius think he would abandon him, but he was happy to know the cause so that he could try to remedy it by making sure that he never felt unwanted.

After they graduated and his grades were as good as they were ever going to get (passing everything), Albus focused on Quidditch even more. He briefly interned in Magical Games and Sports, but was picked up to play on a team eventually because of his skill. It pays the bills and he enjoys it, though often he contemplates what he's going to do when he has to retire; getting fouled in a match early in his first season had put him out of commission for two entire games after his nose was shattered and had to be repaired, then rebroken, then repaired again when it healed crooked the first time.

(Personally, he'd liked it a bit crooked. Made him look rugged.)

Overall, after getting out of Hogwarts Albus had a lot of ideas about the continued habit of Wizards to hide away from the non-magical world. He disliked this immensely and instead found himself listing toward living in a flat in London proper, with proper electricity and television and a mobile phone. It was a bit of a culture shock after everything, but Harry had made sure his children weren't completely lost when it came to technology. He also became fascinated with rugby to the point of joining a casual, non-professional team in his downtime.

He has an owl named Jack.

" DON'T THINK I KNOW HOW TO DO IT. "
MBTI ( ENFP-T; THE CAMPAIGNER )
The Campaigner personality is a true free spirit. They are often the life of the party, but unlike types in the Explorer Role group, Campaigners are less interested in the sheer excitement and pleasure of the moment than they are in enjoying the social and emotional connections they make with others. Charming, independent, energetic and compassionate, the 7% of the population that they comprise can certainly be felt in any crowd.

ENNEAGRAM ( THE ROMANTIC )
Romantics believe you can regain the lost ideal love or perfect state by finding the love or situation that is unique, special and fulfilling. Consequently, Romantics are idealistic, deeply feeling, empathetic and authentic; they also can be dramatic, moody and sometimes self-absorbed.

Albus' personality has always been something interesting and nebulous. As a small child he was happy and easygoing, if a bit sheltered. However, a growing sense of malaise about his Hogwarts sorting had him an anxious mess by the time he was eleven. He continued to go through personality changes, though he seems to have settled now.

He is fierce and loving but at times genuinely oblivious to small cues; he is intelligent but only when he wants to be, crafty and cunning when he needs to be but overall just a young man trying to enjoy life. He hates it when people compare him to his father and it's a quick way to earn his spite. He's also become somewhat aggressive over the years as a reaction to old bullying. As a Slytherin he works at making sure not to look bad, but if someone is being awful to someone he loves, he won't hesitate to punch them or hex them as need be.

With people he loves he's gentle and caring, a little clingy and adoring. Were he to go through with becoming an animagus he would probably be a pit bull terrier, equal parts doofy gentle baby and more than willing to throw down for those he loves. This isn't to say he treats his loved ones with kid gloves - his sense of humor can be biting at times but it's always in good fun; if he were to ever actually hurt someone in this way he would be quick to fiercely and genuinely apologize.

He's less aggressive than he once was owing to having an actual outlet for it, but it still boils under the surface, present if he needs it.

" I WAS TOLD, BUT I LIKED TO FIDGET. "
FLYING ( I TRY TO CHANGE )
Albus took to flying naturally, as comfortable on a broom as he is on his own two feet. Because of this, he's aces at Quidditch and helped get Slytherin the Quidditch Cup more than once over his Hogwarts career.

CHARMS ( I MAKE A LIST OF ALL THE WAYS )
One of Albus' best talents is his ability at charms, able to pick up even the most difficult charms with ease. He focuses best on these sorts of helpful spells owing to the inherent need to help loved ones that rests in his personality.

DADA ( TO CHANGE MY WAYS )
Impeccable at Defense Against the Dark Arts, Albus manages to close himself off against all but the very worst, perhaps owing to his father's tutelage from a young age. He'd be quick to use them loosely and as needed, especially if someone he cares about was in danger.

COMC ( BUT I STAY THE SAME )
Care of Magical Creatures was one of Albus' favorite courses. Taking care of animals helped him to channel his energy into good, and it was easy for him to memorize things when it was making sure that the creatures would be taken care of properly and not be neglected.

DUELING ( I WILL TRY AND TRY TO CHANGE )
Because of how aggressive he was in fighting and protecting people (including himself), Albus became proficient at dueling. It came to him naturally, disarming and hexing flowing out of him as easily as charms. He doesn't like to use it, however, and would often prefer to end a situation with either a biting remark or a single punch.
